Oh geeze...

Who knows why I don't blog anymore. I honestly don't have an answer...I still get on her quite often to check up on everyone else's lives but just stalk and don't even leave comments. Am I honestly that lazy?! The answer is yes :( So for those of you who even see this- props for not deleting my blog since I haven't written anything for like a year. When did blogger change all their settings by the way? I guess a lot changes when you aren't paying attention folks. I won't try and update our lives since last September (take a sigh of relief) but I will just update as of the past month or so. First of all, Josh is a law school graduate! Can I get a hallelujah from the chorus? The man amazes me...honestly I don't think in a million years I could have the dedication he has. I thought to myself- yes he is graduated so now I get my husband back! WRONG. Studying for the bar is ten times worse than law school :( The poor man works all day and then studies all night. He is still an awesome husband and dad on top of that. July 24-25 cannot come soon enough so we are done with all of this studying...well not WE since I am just watching all of my shows and reading fun books while he is studying, but whatever.
Caleb will be 2 in like 2 months and it is freaking me out! He is starting to communicate a lot better and him and I have a lot of fun hanging out every day. He is my angel boy! I feel so blessed to be his mama.
We also moved from Draper to a town home in North Salt Lake which we LOVE. I love being closer to my family and I love the area that we live in. I miss my in laws since we lived with them for 3 years, but we are still close enough to see them often. I feel like we are "grown ups" now with bills to pay and things to do. Actually the bills stink, but the rest is fun :)

We're back...

There's only one decent reason why I haven't blogged in months and that is because my child has turned into a crazy toddler and I spend the majority of my day running (literally) around chasing him. My days are exhausting, yet completely awesome! I love that our kid is now like a real person. He jabbers all day and purposely does things to get a laugh out of us. He is pretty much the funnest thing around :)
So Caleb turned 1 on August 17th. We had a Pirate themed party and it was mighty fun! (The South Davis Aquatic Center is a fun place if you haven't been there) I just can't believe that my baby is so grown up. It is a bitter sweet feeling as a mom because I love watching him learn new things and hit new milestones, but I miss him being tiny and in the infant stage.
We got his pictures taken, and although he would not stay in one place for more than two seconds, we actually got a few awesome pictures that showcase his personality perfectly :) Here area just a few of my favorites...

At the beginning of August Josh's parents took the family to visit Orlando, Florida for a week full of crazy fun. There is so much to do down there and I am pretty sure we did it all! It was such a fantastic vacation and even though I am not a Harry Potter fan, I must say The Wizarding World of Harry Potter was my favorite!

Now our crazy summer has come to an end and things are back to business as usual. Hopefully I will be able to update more often then every 3 months but I make no promises :)

9 months

Caleb is 9 months...wow. He is crawling, eating everything and anything and is getting fiercely independent. Where did my baby go?!
He weighed 20 pounds 9 oz.= 55%
His is 31" tall= 97%+ (way off the charts)
So is he is pretty much a giant for his age, and we love it :)

8 Months

Well our not so little Caleb turned 8 months old today! I had to take him to the doctor on Friday for a follow up on an ear infection and he weighed a little over 19 pounds and was 29 3/4 inches long. He is VERY close to growing out of his car seat at 8 months, so we will be making a new purchase soon. Oh joy...any suggestions on new car seats are welcome!
In celebration of turning 8 months, his first tooth broke through and another one is soon to follow! He has been pretty cranky and my poor husband spent the majority of church today driving him around in the car trying to keep him calm. Poor thing :(
He is mostly a very happy boy though and the stage he is in right now is awesome. He is able to sit and entertain himself, but not able to move yet. I am not having to chase him around everywhere, but I am sure it is only a matter of time.
He loves to be tickled and played with and loves TV and music. He really is an angel baby and we think he is pretty adorable :)

6 months old

Well, our little stud turned 6 months old last week. I can't believe it! He has changed so much in the past month. He has such a funny personality and has the most hilarious laugh! He laughs...then I laugh at his laugh...then he laughs at me laughing. That is pretty much what we do all day :) Nobody makes him laugh harder than his dad though. It is just too cute for words to see my boys hanging out!
He loves the sound of his own voice and says "da da da" "mmmm" "buuu" (that is my attempt at writing out his sounds-not so great sorry!) He is pretty feisty at times and is super alert to his surroundings. I loved his little infant stage, but there is just something about interacting with him now that I just adore!

Doesn't he just melt your heart?

Texas Ya'll

Well we had such a great Christmas season! We left Christmas afternoon to fly to San Antonio, Texas to visit my sister and her family. Caleb did alright on the flight down, and slept the whole way on the flight home. Whew- travelling with an infant was a whole new experience! Luckily we had lots of people to help and everything went fairly smoothly. It was so great to see my sister and her family- we miss those crazy Texans!
We went to Sea World and Daddy was so proud to have won his son a stuffed animal- pretty sad he beat an innocent little girl to get it :)

This little darling turned 8 years old while we were down there and we got to attend her baptism. What a special day!

We walked along the River Walk and went to The Alamo. It was rainy and freezing, but San Antonio is a very beautiful city!

We have just started rice cereal...not sure how we feel about it yet!

4 months!

Well, our little man is now 4 whole months! As a celebration of his big day he decided to get an ear infection. What a great way to celebrate huh? On top of that I am pretty sure he is starting to teethe, oh and he got his shots. He definitely has not been his normally happy self this past week, but he is sill pretty much the most awesome thing around :)

Josh's brother works for the Jazz and was able to get us second row tickets to see the Jazz play the Orlando Magic. For those of you who aren't aware, for some reason my husband is obsessed with the Orlando Magic, and has been since elementary school. He is also a Jazz fan, but was sad after the game because his precious Magic lost to the Jazz :)

This is a picture of how sick our little boy has been. He is not normally a cuddly kid, so for him to fall asleep while I am holding him means he is not feeling very well :(

We were able to go to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir concert featuring David Archuleta on Sunday morning. Wow...it was so great! We certainly love that kid!
