Caleb Joshua Ostler

Well our little man has officially arrived! My water broke at about 6:30 AM on Tuesday, so we hurried and packed our bags and headed to the hospital. The nurse started me on Pitocin and we were off and running! (Those of you who would like a more detailed account of the whole experience I would love to share, but I won't get into the nitty gritty here) I got to 10 cm and started to push and thats where it got interesting. My doctor had told me I had a small pelvic outlet and told me it would be difficult for me to deliver over an 8 pound baby...and boy was he right! I pushed for 2 hours before our little boy came into the world weighing in at 9 pounds 7 ounces! He is such a chunk, and although biased because he is my offspring, is probably one of the cutest things I have ever seen in my life! Josh and I just stare at him all day and just laugh at how cute he is when he cries. I am sure that will wear off soon, but we just can't get enough of our boy!

It's The Final Countdown!

Well folks...we are counting down the days! I am 37 weeks and 5 days along as of today, so I guess our little one could come any day. I highly doubt that he is coming before his due date, but I would love it if he would! At my last doctor's appointment I was dilated to a 1 and was 50% effaced. I definitely have a long way to go, but at least I am making SOME progress. We had a shower last Saturday and have another one this Saturday, so it is way fun getting all ready for our babe to arrive!

Josh painted the whole baby room by himself! I sat there and "supervised" but he stayed up late and got everything thing done perfectly. I really love how it looks and I even got in my Layton High colors :)

This is NOT a flattering picture of me, but here I am about ready to pop! The camera adds 10 pounds right? Just humor me ok...
