Arrivederci!

So Arrivederci means "See ya later" in Italian and I title my post this because WE ARE GOING TO ITALY!!! We had been wanting to go to Europe after graduation for a long time, but we never found a good enough deal. Luckily for us, Josh's mom Bobbie found an incredible deal so the the three of us are going on a 2 1/2 week vacation! Unfortunately Josh's dad has to stay home and work...we will miss you Steve :( So we are flying into Rome THIS Saturday and then going down to Sicily to visit Josh's mission and then we are flying up to Paris. From Paris we are riding a train to Venice and then Florence and then back to Rome! It is totally spur of the moment, but I am so excited I can hardly contain myself!
We figured this is probably our last opportunity in a while to have the opportunity to go since we have nothing to tie us down at the moment, so arrivederci!

Side Note

I just wanted to post this picture (which does it absolutley NO justice) of what we see almost every day right outside of our house. We are just a few blocks from the hang gliding park here on South Mountain, so we look up into the sky and see many of these...
The other day we counted almost more than 30 people up there!

Sin City

Well, we decided to go on a little vacation to celebrate our graduations, so we headed to Las Vegas for a few days! Josh and I both used to go to Vegas for soccer and basketball tournments every year growing up, but we both hadn't been there in a while, so we decided it would be a fun place to go. It was SMOLDERING hot, but hanging out by the pool made it very bearable :)
We stayed at the MGM grand, which was nicer than I anticipated. The pool area was awesome and even had a little river you could float around on. We walked A TON and we pretty much visited every hotel and tourist attraction on the strip. We also went to Hoover Dam and took a tour. We had such a fun getaway and it was fun to be carefree! Now back to the real world.....

We couldn't park close to the sign because it was closed off for what we think was a movie set, so we got a drive by picture :)

We went to a fun show at the Excalibur called "Tournament of Kings" where you eat dinner with your fingers and cheer for the Knight from your country. We were cheering for France and he pretty much kicked everyone's trash :)

We loved our room at the MGM Grand. The MGM is close to everything and even has a stop along the Monorail, so we got around very easily.

I HAD to visit Serendipity 3 to get their original famous Frozen Hot Chocolate. My family is obsessed with the imitation "FHC's", as we lovingly call them, at Dairy Queen, so I had to do a taste test. I must say the Frozen Hot Chocolate at Serendipity was scrumptous, but it was almost $9, so I think I will stick to FHC's at Dairy Queen!

Us at the Hoover Dam- we took a tour down into the dam and went down 52 stories in an elevator. They are building an awesome bridge, so that people don't have to drive over the dam anymore.

Josh's mom let us drive her new red Mustang so we could drive to Vegas in style :) Unfortunately, the car is quite noticeable to the police and very easy to speed in so we got pulled over and got a ticket :(

College Graduates

Our stinkin' cute nephew Karter

My two best friends, Lindi and Sarah, both graduated the same day. We graduated elementary school, junior high, high school and college together. The Standard Examiner even wrote a story about us :)

Well, we made it! Last Saturday Josh and I both graduated with our Bachelors degrees. We are so grateful for our families who came up and supported us (even in the pouring rain)! We moved from Logan right after my graduation and now we are living in Draper. I still kinda feel like we are just down for the weekend hanging out, and it hasn't really sunk in that we actually live here. I have had a few job interviews at some charter schools here in Draper, so hopefully I hear back from them soon.
We are now headed off to Las Vegas this next week for a little rest and relaxation!
